Why is pet treatment an additional cost?

Pet urine reeks havoc on carpet and causes problems beyond what you can see or smell. Zerorez must utilize specific processes beyond normal carpet cleaning routines in order to properly treat and take care of these issues. Depending on the scope of the job, this can be quite an involved process that takes specific solutions and greater amounts of time. Normal cleaning procedures can not fully address the issues and can sometimes make the issue worse.

Can I substitute a flight of stairs for a room with your specials?

Unfortunately Zerorez is unable to make substitutions like this with packaged specials. When putting together our specials, we determine what we can reasonably offer at a specific price point and the amount of labor and supplies that will be necessary. Stairs require using a smaller hand tool for proper cleaning and are clearly more labor intensive than cleaning a normal room.

Why can't you give pricing for stain removal over the phone?

Every stain is a different challenge and not every stain can be removed. The only way to know the breadth and difficulty or possibility of fixing a stain is to be able to see it and test it. For this reason we need our technicians to evaluate what they can do for the stain, what options you have as far as removal, what each options entail as far as labor and/or supplies, and then give you an exact price for the stain removal.

Do you perform carpet repairs?

Absolutely. Are technicians are well trained in many of the most popular carpet repairs. This includes stretching, patches, seams, spot dyeing, and much more.

Will you get the black lines around my rooms out?

Filtration lines are caused by poor air quality and can be some of the toughest stains to remove. We do have processes that address this issue, but it all depends on the the severity of the problem. A technician that can see the problem can give you better options.

Does the process remove traffic ways?

Each job is a new challenge, and we love to stretch our muscles. Results can vary greatly on traffic ways depending on the type of carpet fiber you have. Every traffic pattern will usually have some apparent staining or a dull or grayish appearance left after cleaning. This is really a result of dirt scratching and cutting the fibers that is irreversible. Some companies may use optical brighteners to fix the appearance during cleaning, however, it is against IICRC and CRI cleaning guidelines and results in more wear and tear and quicker re-soiling.

How well does your system remove pet stains?

Pet stains require special treatment and can never be fully guaranteed. The success at removing pet stains depends on many factors from the length of time since the accident occurred, what the pet has been eating and drinking, and how well the carpet protectant is still protecting, and what type of carpet fiber you have. Virtually every spot will lighten up somewhat, and sometimes the spot could completely disappear.

Do I need to be present for the service?

We recommend that you are present for your service call. If you are not able to stay for the entire service, we recommend that at least you try to meet the technician to point out all of your areas of concern, and then to be there at the end for a final walk through on the job.

Is Zerorez-DFW, LLC bonded and insured?

ZerorezĀ® DFW, LLC is insured and does carry a bond in case of any mistakes, damages or other issues that could possibly arise during a service call. We also do carry workman's comp insurance for our employees and technicians to protect your home or office from any possible liabilities.

Can I walk on the carpet after it has been cleaned?

We recommend that you stay off the carpet as much as possible when it is still damp. If you need to walk across the carpet, we recommend you use clean white socks to avoid any soil or oils from your feet transferring to your newly cleaned carpet. If you had your carpet protected, we recommend that you stay off for at least 30-45 minutes to allow the protectant to cure and avoid any potential reactions.
